Secret Love Under The Canopy Of Tree Leaves

I know of a place,
Slightly lonely, kind of homely.
But as the silence surrounds you,
Whispers in your ear.
You know who you'd find here.

Now, in this garden,
Two hearts, intertwined, can combine.
With this soil so rich and dark.
Lovers have the key
To live in harmony.

You and I were young,
Loved each other, loved forever.
Planted our seeds in the earth;
Watched the rising sun.
Grew entwined as one.

Know our love is true,
As we hold hands, we don't need plans.
The roses we planted as kids
(Hearts, on our sleeves, worn)
Grew without any thorns.

Singing sweetly now,
Love has captured and enraptured
Two souls who both thought they were lost.
His smile, her eyes
No longer have tears to cry.

We can walk around,
Our hearts beating, rythmic breathing.
Your lips on mine will linger here.
Who cares if they see?
Only jealousy.

Walk to the garden
Where we stood, long ago. What would
Be the beggining of true love.
Intertwined, our hearts,
Never to be apart.

Even now, older,
Though not by many years. Those fears
Are gone. I know I'm not alone.
Your hand here in mine,
Our love is devine.

I know of a place,
Slightly lonely, kind of homely.
But as the silence surrounds you,
Whispers in your ears.
You know who you'd find here.
